Dear Members,
the wait is over: first of all, write down the dates,from October 15th to 18th next. The program of the traditional gathering "Seven Hills"organized by the Lazio Regional Center, excellently conducted by Otello Orsini, is attached here. The subtitle "TusciAmo in MG: an autumn journey through the stones and waters of Tuscia" already provides an idea of the area involved (the Tuscia Viterbese) and the peculiarities of the gathering (archaeology and Lake Vico).
And since there's so much to see, the gathering begins on Thursday (rather than Friday) with three nights' accommodation in a 4-star hotel in Viterbo. What's more, those wishing to extend the gathering (which officially ends on Sunday morning after breakfast) can do so by adding a visit to Palazzo Faese in Caprarola and then staying for lunch, thus concluding the event on Sunday in the early afternoon (this extension will have an additional cost).
Another new feature, which will be extended to all national and international rallies starting next year, is the option to take out optional insurance (through Europ Assistance) against the risk of being unable to attend the rally due to serious health or work-related reasons, obtaining a refund of the registration fee already paid. The cost of this coverage? €100 per crew, to be added to the rally's bank transfer. This must be communicated to Otello and perhaps even written in pen on the registration form.
The policy in question, announced at the Members' Meeting last May 9th in Bologna, has in fact only just been made operational, and therefore there was not even time to indicate it on the attached registration form.
What else to add?
Is the gathering intriguing? Of course, reading the attached program makes that clear.
Is it well-organized? You can be sure of that: Otello Orsini is involved...
Is this just another MG gathering, synonymous with "feeling good together"? All our gatherings are like this!
Enough of the boring: I'll leave you to read the program and fill out the registration form. I almost forgot: be careful not to delay booking, which closes on June 30th, for a maximum of 45 crews.
