2016 Padua Vintage Car and Motorcycle Fair
The usual Vintage Cars and Motorcycles fair took place in Padua from 20 to 23 October 2016.

On the weekend of October 20th to 23rd 2016, like every year, the MGCC d'Italia took part in the Padua Vintage Cars and Motorcycles fair.
The fair has confirmed its position as the spearhead of the European classic car sector, placing itself at the top of the European ranking in terms of number of sales.
The stand set up by the willing Venetian members this year was made up of a potpourri of MGs, all very rare.
From the pre-war MG J2, from 1933, in sports trim, owned by Trieste partner Gianluca; to the F of the legendary Cantafora-Murillo, a car that completed thousands of kilometers of feats around the world.
Also present are the 1960 MGA Twin Cam of Alberto and Pino from Padua, the 1969 MGC 6-cylinder of Roberto from Vicenza, and the 1971 MG BGT set up as a GTS Sebring, with a volumetric supercharger by Butti from Verona, a car often present at regularity/rally events.
This year, beyond all expectations, the fair exceeded 100,000 admissions over the four days, with more than 24,000 attendees on Saturday alone.
In typical octagonal style, members from all over Italy were welcomed with rivers of prosecco, kindly offered by the GEMIN winery of Valdobbiandene, and a selection of cured meats and local products.
Many members, whom we thank, brought delicacies and specialties from all over Italy. In short, it was more of a fair than a celebration.
Saturday also saw the warm participation of Alvio Stramare, owner of the GEMIN winery, who entertained the members, fascinated by the spirit that distinguishes our club.
The President of the MGCC of the Czech Republic, a friend of the Cantafora members, also attended the entire fair. At the end of the four days, he congratulated them, stating that he would take inspiration from the spirit of the Italian club for the growth of his own.
On Saturday evening, the usual dinner was held at Villa Italia, exceeding all expectations in terms of attendance. More than 70 members were present, honored by the presence of President Fabio Filipello.
Despite the doubts that characterized 2016 regarding the future of the Padua fair, and its possible relocation to other cities, there have been signs, albeit unofficial, of continuity in the near future.
