MILAN AUTOCLASSICA (organized by the Lombardy Regional Center)

The second edition of "Milano AutoClassica," this year's event, spread across three pavilions totaling 50,000 square meters and featuring over 300 exhibitors, saw a significant increase in visitors from all over Europe, hampered only by the snow on the final day, reaching a total of 26,000. Three days of passion, competition, and major events confirmed Milan as a leading city for the classic motoring sector.

“Milano AutoClassica” offered visitors a packed calendar of events: thrills with the Ferrari F1 simulator, in-depth discussions with conferences by some of the biggest names in the automotive world, great public attention for the Concorso d'Eleganza, spectacular battles between classic racing cars despite the inclement weather, and the involvement of countless enthusiasts from the many Historic Clubs and Registries present.

Among the latter, there was also ours with a stand positioned in a strategic point of the pavilion, with three cars from as many Lombard members on display: a 1958 A in “glacier blue” owned by Marco Vasone, a 1953 TD in blue owned by Salvatore Arcidiacono and a 1968 C GT in “dark British racing green” belonging to Mauro Barberi.

It was an intense three days, with a constant influx of enthusiasts, both members and non-members, with peak attendance during the "strategic" lunchtime slots, where guests were treated to cheeses, cured meats, and various appetizers, all washed down with excellent wine, which was very welcome (but I'll never say how many bottles were sold...).

Our entire Board of Directors was present on Saturday and Sunday, experiencing the massive turnout firsthand and answering questions from members who attended.

The icing on the cake was a Sunday morning presence that literally captivated the entire area: our own Gianni Tesauro, fresh from his recent classic car driving lessons, accompanied the beautiful Francesca Cavallin, an actress who has appeared in TV series such as "Un medico in famiglia," "Anita," "Il bene e il male," and "Puccini," to name a few, to our stand. Given her passion for classic cars, and MGs in particular (she attended driving school in a TC), she was offered membership in our Club in exchange for the promise of welcoming us again at future rallies.

Given this year's success, we have already thought about the improvements to be made to the stand for the 2014 edition.
