Mg Generation 2026

Dear Members,

How many times have we wondered, even at club meetings, how to introduce younger generations to the world of classic cars, partly to increase membership, but above all in light of an inevitable generational turnover?

The answers are always multiple, but the lowest common denominator is one:knowing how to involveyoung people, whether they are strangers or more likely our family members, children, grandchildren or simply family friends.

MG CAR CLUB d'Italia has therefore thought of putting something concrete into practice:a gathering specifically designed for the younger ones, who will act as drivers or navigators for the regular members.

Whose idea came up with the idea? Our very own Simone Lafleur, Councilor and brilliant Manager of Relations with other MG CAR CLUBS around the world: let's not forget the role she played during the European Event held in Padua at the end of May, where she effortlessly switched from English to German to Dutch, with the same gracefulness of a star in "Swan Lake."

Since almost all our MGs are two-seaters (member + youth), can the regular partner still participate in a modern car? No one will be forced to stay home: they can participate in a modern car; the only precaution is to position themselves at the end of the procession, that is, after the last participating MG (also for photo purposes).

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE: Due to the usual hotel capacity requirements, registrations will close on January 28, 2026. MAXIMUM number of crews admitted: 40.

IMPORTANT: Considering the spirit of the gathering,Priority registration will be given to crews with "young people on board"So, in concrete terms: "differently young" crews will also be able to register, but their requests will remain "frozen" and will be accepted only if there are still places available after the youngest registrations, up to the maximum number of 40 crews.
