The “MG & Red Passion” gathering, which took place on Sunday 29 September 2013 in Sesto San Giovanni, confirmed expectations, with an unexpected absence of rain, inside the new area that has taken the place of the historic Campari factories.
To our delight and that of the other restaurant customers, we parked our MGs in front and on the side of the recently restored 18th-century villa (once the Campari family's manor house) and now a fine restaurant.
As per the program, before sitting down to taste the menu (a surprise for the participants: and to them go the first thanks for the trust placed in us) we were accompanied by a guide on a visit to the nearby "Galleria Campari", not only a Campari museum, but in reality, supported by multimedia means, a cross-section of life in the last century, obviously passing through the profound changes that advertising has undergone in 100 years of life.
After the tour, we sat down in the restaurant, in a room reserved for us. The first course impressed us with a very special "risotto with Umbrian saffron pistils and a Campari reduction." Final verdict: a restaurant we'll definitely return to, given the high quality of the food.
After lunch, aided by the weather that was definitely turning nice, we lingered in pleasant conversation among ourselves, in healthy relaxation near our MGs.
