On Sunday 14th April the Emilian Romagnolo reality show "LIGAZA" festival entitled "SALAMI IN MG" was broadcast.
There was a large turnout of crews from across the region, including Lombardy, and, most welcome, many new faces among potential future members.
A clear sign that salami arouses interest and appeal wherever it is found.
A beautifully sunny day enveloped the participants in a chromatic contrast of pink and white flowers that enhanced the atmosphere of a country festival, a mix of spring scents and MG salami. The meeting point was the AMADUCCI workshop, specializing in the restoration of vintage cars. Here, the eyes of those arriving, captivated by the stunning jewels under restoration and the donuts and pastries on a table set for breakfast, were continually rubbed together in a "am I dreaming or am I awake?" The horns of the flying Bolognese's TD break the spell and the salami in MG prepare to set off for Perticara for a visit to the mining museum along a route that would make Connemara in Ireland envious. While most remain amazed and enchanted by the unexpected beauty of the minerals and the interesting history of the mine, Derrik Brigliadores, Prince of Tribola, begins to get impatient because he is impatient to show off his own competition salami, which he claims is the best of all. The travelling pork butcher's shop gets back on track with its destination BORGO DEGLI ARTISTI in S.LUCIA. The landscape presents itself in all its varied beauty, ranging from wild glimpses to a gentle and captivating nature. A stop to pay homage to a great cyclist from Romagna who used to train on those steep and tiring climbs. A large memorial stone with a photo of Marco Pantani in the pink jersey placed on the edge of the road was a source of emotion and a place of remembrance for a group photo. And finally, the longed-for destination has been reached, where everyone prepares to take their places, but not before having emptied their MG and placed every good thing on the ligaza table. Stuff to make CREMONINI CATERING SPA pale. But the salami? Where are the salami? No, not those! It's not the stuff of ligaza, a communal table from distant times and lost traditions. Salami is an ancestral vocation that dies hard, and therefore every gentleman driver holds on to his own tightly while waiting to be called to go down to the arena and present it to the jury. After a careful and anonymous tasting, the MG ladies will decide which salami is the best overall. In this apotheosis of variety and quality, the jury has a difficult task, but in the end, Derrik Brigliadores' salami will be the winner. Gossips swear by fraud, with the help of a complacent wife seeking vote-trading. The competent and informed jury gave value and merit to the accompanying label certifying its characteristics as a zero-mile ECO SALAMI made from pure "MORA ROMAGNOLA" pork, with traceability of the entire production chain. A salami produced by the Tribola Slow Food Society, official supplier of the local Brigliadores company, which allows it to carry the prestigious seal "BY APPOINTMENT TO HER MAJESTY THE AZDORA ADRIANA".
